Larry J. Bladecki, age 91, passed away on October 14, 2025 at Toni & Trish House with his family by his side. He was born July 10, 1934 in Bay City, Michigan to the late Charles and Constance (Martek) Bladecki. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and will be dearly missed by all who loved him.
Larry graduated from T.L. Handy High School in 1952. He retired as an electrician from Powertrain after 33 years of service. He was a member of Corpus Christi Parish for many years. He loved coaching Little League, Pony League and Colt League. His team participated in the 1989 World Series in Indiana, of which he was very proud of.
He enjoyed golfing with his sons and grandsons. Larry was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling. He loved his family, friends and his beloved dogs and backyard birds and ducks.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Nancy (Kleinsorge) Bladecki, whom he married on October 22, 1955 and they spent 41 years together before her passing on August 26, 1997. On November 6, 1999, Larry married Mary Jo Kellogg, who preceded him in death on May 1, 2023. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Marion, Raymond and Jerome; sisters, Dorothy, Eleanor, Jane and Gerry.
Larry is survived by his two daughters, Wendy Bladecki and Lori (Mike) Bosco; three sons, Mike (Linda) Bladecki, John Bladecki and Mark Bladecki; ten grandchildren, Matt Bosco, Marci Bosco, Jordan Bosco, Jeremy (Lorena) Bosco, Jeff Bladecki, Jennifer (Luke) VanDusen, Jacob Bladecki, Ella Bladecki, Remmy Bladecki and Eve Bladecki; three great grandchildren, Kevin and Jack VanDusen and Bennett Bosco, and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial Mass will take place on Thursday, October 23, 2025 11:00 a.m. at Corpus Christi Parish with a private inurnment to be held at a later time at St. Patrick’s Cemetery Niche. Officiating with be Rev. Fr. Bert Gohm. The family will be present to receive visitors on Thursday at the Church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made in Larry’s name to the American Cancer Society or Toni & Trish House.
