Larry E. Gorr

Larry passed away at the Toni and Trish House with his family by his side on June 11, 2021 at the age of 70. He was born on July 1, 1950 to William and Audrey (Sundstrom) Gorr in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Larry served in the U.S. Marine Corp. from 1967 to 1971 and also served in the Vietnam War. He was an Engineer for U.S. Army Corp. of Engineers from 1972 until he retired in 2005. Larry enjoyed his work and spending so much time on the water, especially Lake Huron. He loved playing horseshoe and scrabble. He was a big baseball fan and played a lot in his hometown neighborhood of Carrollton, MI.
Larry is survived by his wife of 51 years, Kathleen (Mielke) Gorr, they were married on his birthday, July 1, 1970. He is also survived by his children, Jennifer (Donald) Allen Jr., Erik (Jill) Gorr and Leslie Gorr; 7 grandchildren, Zachary Griffith, Breana Griffith, Dylan Thousand, Jordan Gorr, Leonardo Thousand, Emma Allen and Zander Thousand; his parents, Audrey and William Gorr; brothers, Brad Gorr and Donald Gorr.
At the request of Larry, cremation has taken place and no services are being planned at this time. Memorial contributions may be made out to the Toni & Trish House in Auburn, Michigan.
