Laura L. Douglas

Laura passed away Thursday, May 12, 2022 at McLaren Bay Region at the age of 62 years. She was born in Redford, Michigan on August 15, 1959 to the late Raymond and Marjorie (St Claire) Taffs. Laura was an active board member at Bay City First Nazarene Church and a leader in Celebrate Recovery. She was always the first to the church to get the coffee made and have things ready and greet everyone at the door. She loved to make macrame, artwork, wreaths and holiday items. Laura kept a fish tank to stay connected to her grandson.
Laura is survived by her grandson, Caleb; brothers and sisters, Wally (Nena) Taffs, Grace (Dell) Sanders, Nancy (Paul) Bruce, Ray St Claire, Midge Ross and Anna Matthews and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her daughter, Jacqueline.
At the request of Laura, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will take place at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 22, 2022 at Bay City First Nazarene Church. Friends may visit at the church on Sunday from 3:30 p.m. until the time of the service. Contributions may be made to the church.
