Lawrence "Larry" Curler

Larry passed away Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at Mid-Michigan Medical Center Midland at the age of 88 years. He was born in Bay City, Michigan on March 17, 1933 to the late Ralph and Agnes (Maxwell) Curler. On April 3, 1954 he married the former Jane M. Bernard and they were married for 67 years. Larry proudly served his country in the United States Army and was honorably discharged. He worked and retired from Local 85 as a pipefitter, plumber and welder. Jane and Larry were members of the Eagles and Moose Clubs and owned and operated Superior Canvas for several years. In his spare time, he enjoyed restoring and showing old cars, racing motorcycles, hunting and riding horses.
Larry is survived by his children, Alan (Misty) Curler, Susan (Perry) Whitely, Terry (Shannon) Curler, Guy (Chantal) Curler and Tony Curler; eleven grandchildren, Angie, Sarah, Laura, Ashleigh, Christopher, Amanda, Chelo, Mariah, Ruby, Kali Irene and Alexis Marie; twelve great grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Ronnie, Sandy, Joyce, Dorothy and Donnie. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his great granddaughter, Alana Marie Neering; brothers and sisters, Ralph Jr, Dick, Donna and Shirley and four brothers-in-law, Russ, Tom, Bob and Dick Bernard.
Funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 6, 2021 at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Pastor Dan Dickerson with private interment in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Friends and family may visit at the Gephart Funeral Home on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Contributions may be made to the wishes of the family.
