Lee Edward Deary

Lee passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at McLaren Bay Region at the age of 77. He was born on June 22, 1944 in Bay City, Michigan to the late Jerome and Francis (Boeaker) Deary. Lee was a member of the Bay City Seventh-Day Adventist Church. He loved farming, gardening, his chickens, and was a collector of many things. He also loved telling stories, taking naps, and going to his grandkid's sporting events. Lee was a wonderful man and will be missed by many. He was a father figure to many others, apart from his own children. His family was his pride and joy.
Lee is survived by his wife, Sharon (Badgerow) Deary, of 58 wonderful years. They married on July 27, 1963 when she was just 14 years old and their loved continued to grow as strong as ever. He is also survived by his children, Lisa Butterfield and her children, Austin (Ashley) Butterfield and Bradd Butterfield; Lana (JR) Richardson and their children, Malerie Richardson and Masen (Savannha) Richardson; Lee "Turk" (Stacy) Deary II and their children, Lee Deary III and Emily Deary; brothers and sisters, Bonita Miller, Samuel (Kathi) Deary and Tina Fiting; sister-in-law, Angie Deary; many nieces, nephews, cousins and other friends that he considered to be family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers and sister, Paul Deary, Kay (Ken) Howe and Jerry Deary and brother-in-law's, George Fiting and Richard Miller.
Funeral service will take place on Friday, November 26, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. at the Gephart Funeral Home. Officiating will be Pastor Andrew Park. The family will be present at the funeral home on Friday, November 26, 2021 to receive visitors from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bay City Seventh-Day Adventist Church or the Wishes of the Family.
