Legran Anthony 'Lee' Grabke, of Bay City, passed away early Saturday morning August 13, 2011 at Bay Regional Medical Center, age 74. He was born July 17, 1937 in Bay City. Lee served with the U.S. Air Force and was employed by NORAD. He was a member of the American Legion Post #18 and the V.F.W. Lee was retired from GM Malleable Iron in Saginaw as an industrial engineer. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Lee is survived by his wife, the former Dianne Lynn Brown, whom he married on July 16, 1991 in Las Vegas. He is also survived by five children, LaDaune (Thomas) Wisniewski of Essexville, Baron Hoyt Grabke of Essexville, Shelly Osterhout of Ft. Myers, Florida, Wendy (John) Harvey of Bluffton, South Carolina and Richard (Kelly) Chapman of Bay City; eight grandchildren, Kayle and Ashley Wisniewski, Jacob, Alan and Mason Osterhout, Heaven and Jordin Harvey and Nicole Chapman; his father-in-law, Ross W. Brown; five sisters, Nancy (Alex) Hiller, Dorothy McAllen, Kathy (Ken) Paczkowski, Karen (David) Fackler and Marilyn (David) Hoerauf; two brothers, Ross and Paul; and a sister-in-law, Millie Grabke. Lee was preceded in death by his parents, Harold & Lucille 'Sally' Grabke; a brother, Tyrone Grabke; and his first wife, Katherine Louise (Fogelsinger) Grabke. The funeral service will take place at 11:00am on Monday August 15, 2011 at Gephart Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. Officiating will be Rev. Fr. Robert S. Gohm. The Rite of Committal will be in Green Ridge Cemetery followed by Military Honors conducted by the Bay County Veterans Council. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 1:00 to 8:00pm and on Monday from 10:00am until time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion or to Paralyzed Veterans of America.
