Lon Raymond Sheltrown

Lon passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 30, 2026, at Medilodge of Frankenmuth, with his loving family by his side, at the age of 73. He was born in Bay City, Michigan, on October 16, 1952, to the late Raymond and Eleanor (Wingle) Sheltrown.

Lon was a truck driver for many years and took great pride in his work. He enjoyed driving truck, riding motorcycles, and working on various projects. Most of all, Lon treasured the time he spent with his family and will be remembered for the love he had for those closest to him.

Left to cherish Lon’s memory are his children, Scott Sheltrown, Bret (Shawna) Sheltrown, Amanda Sheltrown, and Stephanie McCullough; grandchildren, Ellie and Joseph; sister, Marlene; and nieces Melanie and Michelle.

In addition to his parents, Lon was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Elizabeth Sheltrown, in 2022.

The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to Covenant VNA Hospice and the staff at Medilodge of Frankenmuth for the compassionate care and support they provided to Lon and his family.

At Lon’s request, cremation has taken place. A private inurnment will take place at a later date at Edwards Cemetery in West Branch, Michigan.

In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider contributions toward the wishes of the family.
