Mrs. Ittner passed away on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at McLaren Bay Region at the age of 92. The daughter of the late Jacob and Alvina (Schwab) Appold was born August 27, 1928 in Bay City, Michigan. Mrs. Ittner was a lifelong member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Frankenlust where she sang in the church choir and was a member of the Ladies Aid. Lorna worked as a legal secretary for Ralph Isackson for over fifty years and enjoyed every activity and game Wescourt had to offer.
Mrs. Ittner married William Ittner on December 26, 1950 and he preceded her in death on August 23, 1980. Surviving are her four children, Cynthia (Robert) Eastman, Jonathan Ittner, David (Sherry) Ittner and Lynn (Larry) Strawn; seven grandchildren, Jeffrey (Leola) Eastman, Lisa (Nate) Belill, Anissa Ittner, Kendra Strawn, Brooke Strawn, Jason Ittner and Mason Strawn; six great grandchildren, Aiden Eastman, Lilyana Eastman, Layne Belill, Bryton Belill, Cayden Leeds and Mattie Leeds; sister, Dorine Auernhammer; sister-in-law, Irene Neumeyer and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her sister, Anita Weiss; brother, Alvin Appold; two brothers-in-law, Reinhold Auernhammer and Robert Weiss and her sister-in-law, Verna Appold.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff and her many friends at Wescourt for always including her in activities and for their compassion and care.
Funeral service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 23, 2021 at St. Paul Lutheran Church of Frankenlust. Officiating will be Pastor Dennis Matyas with Committal following in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will take place at the Gephart Funeral Home on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Friday at the church from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. Memorial cards for St. Paul Lutheran Church Ministry Center will be available.
