Lorraine M. Peplinski

Lorraine passed away on Friday, January 7, 2022 at McLaren Bay Region at the age of 84. The daughter of the late Albin and Virginia (Wirgowski) Walthers was born January 31, 1937 in Bay City, Michigan.
Lorraine started every morning and ended each day with her daily devotionals and prayers. She enjoyed shopping, doing crossword puzzles and word searches, checking up on the latest news and making lists and notes to make sure she didn't forget anything. She was known for her great advice and always having a joke to share that she made sure to read from her notes so she didn't mess up the punchline.
Lorraine was married to the love of her life, Jim, and they just celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary in November. They enjoyed traveling, going to the casino, their Friday night dinner and shopping dates with friends, and always reminding Jim to put his hearing aids in.
Lorraine was better known as Nonnie to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved getting to spend time with them, chatting on the phone to hear what they were up to, and spoiling them to no end. Holidays with the family were always so special to her. She never missed a dance recital, play or important function in their life.
Our angel on earth has gained her wings, and she will continue to watch over us and help guide us through life. Love you forever and always. I wonder if QVC delivers to heaven? ...asking for an angel friend
Lorraine is survived by her husband, Jim; son, Mike Peplinski; daughter, Michelle Brennan; grandchildren, Kellie (Robbie) Rankey, Shae Brennan and Ryan (Erin), Natalie, Jimmy, Jenna and Michael Peplinski; great grandchildren, Harper, Hudson, Emma, Riley, Blaize, Rory and Landon; sisters, Pat Dauer, Carol (Dave) Peters and Shirley Wilson; in laws, Pat Cathcart and Ken Peplinski. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Mike Cathcart; sisters-in-law, Marlene Peplinski and Sandy Peplinski; son-in-law, Pat Brennan; nephew, Michael Cathcart and her niece, Jeanne Cathcart.
Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish - St. Hyacinth Church. Celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Richard M. Filary with private entombment following in St. Stanislaus Mausoleum. Lorraine will be taken to the church on Thursday to lie in state from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass.
