Mr. Leinberger passed away early Monday morning May 17, 2010 at Brian's House following a brief illness. Age 72 years. He was born March 28, 1938 in Bay City and has resided here all of his life. Lou was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Frankenlust and it's Men's Club and retired from the Operating Engineers as a mechanic. He is survived by his wife Nancy (Jean) Leinberger, four children; Dorene (Thomas) Hogan of WI, Kevin Leinberger of Bay City, Brian Leinberger of Saginaw and Jamie Leinberger of Bay City, fifteen grandchildren, four great grandchildren, three sisters; Elaine Klepser of Auburn, Marilyn Leinberger of Auburn and Mary Leinberger of Flushing, one brother-in-law and two sisters-in-law; Kenneth and Mary Jean of Lake and Sandra Johnroe of Auburn and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; Maynard and Louise (Neumeyer) Leinberger and one sister; Dolores Leinberger. A Memorial Service will take place Saturday, May 22, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church of Frankenlust. Officiating will be Rev. Paul D. Theiss and Rev. Corey J. Grunklee. At the request of Mr. Leinberger cremation has taken place and their will be no visitation at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. The family will be at the church on Saturday to greet family and friends from 10:00 a.m. and until the time of services. In lieu of flowers memorial cards for St. Paul Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, the Wishes of the Family or Brian's House will be available.
