Mr. Lazarowicz passed away Wednesday evening June 2, 2010 at Brian's House, age 81. The son of the late Frank & Josephine (Herman) Lazarowicz, he was born September 12, 1928 in Willoughby, Ohio. Ludwig served with the US Coast Guard during WWII. He was a member of the Teamsters Union and drove for Duro Supply for 30 years. He has been a member of Kawkawlin Community Church since 1967. Ludwig was a blacksmith and was a member of the Michigan Artist Blacksmith Association and of the Midland Blacksmiths; Max Carey Blacksmith Guild. Mr. Lazarowicz is survived by his wife of 56 years, the former Leona Mae Hill and their children, Dale & Vonnie Lazarowicz, James & Lorriann Lazarowicz, Karen & Kent Peil, Quentin & Carolyn Lazarowicz, Arnold & Dawn Lazarowicz, Janet & Craig Beeck and Ericia Lazarowicz & Eric Kocks; 14 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and four sisters-in-law. Besides his parents, Ludwig was also preceded in death by two brothers, Leo & Stanley Lazarowicz; and a sister, Helen Klimaszewski. The funeral service will take place at 11:00am on Monday June 7, 2010 at Kawkawlin Community Church, 311 E. Grove St. Officiating will be Rev. David L. Dunn. Private interment will be in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home on Sunday from 1:00 to 3:00 & 5:00 to 9:00pm. Mr. Lazarowicz will lie instate at the church on Monday from 10:00am until time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to Pardee Cancer Treatment Fund of Bay County, Kawkawlin Community Church, Midland Blacksmiths; Max Carey Blacksmith Guild and Brian's House.
