Margaret E. Denay "Betty"

Betty passed away Friday, April 8, 2022, at her residence with her family by her side at the age of 87 years. She was born in Rockham, South Dakota to the late William and Margaret (Fallon) Lichtenberg and was raised in Aberdeen, South Dakota. After graduating high school, she attended nursing school in Rapid City, South Dakota. After nursing school, she moved to Bay City and began working at St. Mary's Hospital. She met and married Robert "Bob" Denay and he preceded her in death in 2014. Betty enjoyed playing cards, sewing, watching Jeopardy, and was an avid reader. We will all miss her wonderful dinner and cinnamon rolls.
Betty is survived by her children, Brian, Cathy (Hal), Sue (Steve), Michelle (Steve) and Karin; grandma Betty "G-Ma" will be loved and missed by her grandchildren, Patrick, Candace, Jenn, Matthew, Mitchell, Sean, Ashley, Michael, Maggie, Libby and Sam; eight great grandchildren; former son-in-law, Loren; brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Maryanne Denay. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her son, Robert Denay and brother, John (Gloria) Lichtenberg.
