Margaret Ann (VanWert) Gwizdala

Mrs. Gwizdala passed away on Saturday, July 10, 2021 at Brian's House at the age of 93. The daughter of the late William and Margaret (Bokhart) VanWert was born December 22, 1927 in Bay City, Michigan. Mrs. Gwizdala was a member of St. Norbert Altar Society and enjoyed gardening, canning, baking, sewing, crocheting, camping and spending time with her grandchildren.
Mrs. Gwizdala is survived by her children, Don (Deborah) Gwizdala, Linda (Dave) Pruitt, Kathy (John) Shasky, Gary (Lori) Gwizdala, Marlene (Scott) Miller and Mary Jo (Jeff) Sakoi; grandchildren, David, Michael and Eric Pruitt, Jeffrey, Justin (Samantha) Gwizdala, Krystina (Brett) Hunkins, Katie (Ryan) Sebald, Zachary (Salla) Sakoi and Alec (Megan) Sakoi; five great grandchildren; two sisters, Lucille (Jerry) Kingsbury and Lorraine (Charles) Nichols. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Albin S. "Mike" Gwizdala, whom she married on April 12, 1947; brothers and sisters, Alfred, Raymond, Dorothy, William, May, James and Arlene.
Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at St. Jude Thaddeus Parish. Celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Dale A. Orlik with private committal following in St. Patrick Cemetery. Visitation will take place at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass. Memorials for Brian's House will be available at the church.
