Marie P. Wegener

Wegener, Marie P. Bay City, Michigan Mrs. Marie P. Wegener, of Bay City, passed away Saturday morning, November 15, 2014 at the King's Daughters Home in Midland, age 91. The daughter of the late William and Laura (Begick) Ittner, she was born on March 9, 1923 in Bay City. Marie was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Frankenlust and was active with the Church Choir and Ladies Aid. On January 20, 1941 Marie married Leonard W. Wegener and he preceded her in death on June 14, 2005. Marie is survived by her son, Thomas (Ruth) Wegener of Midland; two grandchildren, Martin Wegener and Laura Gould, her great-grandchildren, Noah Wegener, Jonah Wegener, Lila Wegener, Braden Gould and Ethan Gould; her sister, Irene Neumeyer; a sister-in-law, Lorna Ittner; and numerous nieces and nephews. Marie was also preceded in death by her brother, William Ittner; and a sister, Luella Ittner. The Wegener family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Midland King's Daughters Home for the kind and compassionate care they provided to Mrs. Wegener during the time they cared for her. The Funeral Service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at St. Paul Lutheran Church of Frankenlust. Officiating will be Rev. Paul D. Theiss with interment following in the St. Paul Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Monday from 3:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Mrs. Wegener will lie instate at the church on Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.
