Marilyn Hamilton passed away peacefully August 3, 2026 surrounded by her loving family.

On August 5, 1961, Marilyn married the love of her life, Fred Hamilton, and they had three children: Mark (Michelle), Paula (Roy) Briggs, and Dan (Sara). She cherished spending time with her grandchildren Nathan, Ethan, Erin, Cole, Connor, and Kyle.

Marilyn graduated from Visitation School in 1956, and later worked as the school secretary at Visitation for 27 years, a job for which she was perfectly suited with her warm and nurturing personality.

After retiring in 1995, Marilyn and Fred enjoyed numerous road trips, often searching for First Edition books by their favorite authors along the way, and visited every state except Alaska. They also loved to trek to Traverse City for wine tasting, and worked as volunteers at Created for Caring and Brian’s House.
