Marilyn E. Hine

Marilyn E. Schlicker Hine passed November 21, 2020 after a long battle with Alzheimer's. Born January 1, 1932 to Emma (Weiss) and Erwin Schlicker she was the oldest of seven children; Eugene, Veldora, Larry, Lorna, Ronald and Kathleen.
She met her husband of 62 years Frederick W. Hine, Jr. at State Park. While he served in the US Navy in Korea they shared love letters and their dreams.  They were married in 1954 and started their family of five children.   Fred proceeded her in death in 2016.   Marilyn was active in her church and Girl Scouts, she enjoyed gardening, canning produce, dancing, fishing with Fred and taking care of her family.  After retiring the Hine's spent 29 years wintering in Yuma, Arizona.
We send our sincere thank you to the staff at Shannon's House and Linwood Assisted Living for their loving care and support.
She will be dearly missed and is survived by her family:
Susan and Mike Roberts (John, Scott, Kristen and Jennifer), Kellie and Gene Hine (Kristen and Grant), Sherry and Dan Zeitler (Brent, Alex and Austin), Connie and Jerry Witzke (Jarrod, Marcus, Kyle and Kate), Brenda and Jim Hine (Staci, Shannon, Sara, Robert and Heidi) and many great grandchildren. Grandson Eric preceded her in death and we are confident they are together with a deck of cards.
In lieu of flowers please donate to the charity of your choice. Marilyn's favorites would be Alzheimer's, The Care Team Hospice, and St. Jude's.
