Marilyn Ann Hoist

Marilyn passed away on Friday, February 6, 2026 at Symphony Tri-Cities at the age of 91. The daughter of the late Phillip and Marvel (Bloom) Meir was born November 26, 1934 in West Branch, Michigan. Marilyn was a member of Faith Lutheran Church and enjoyed baking cookies and pies. She was a hard worker and retired from Michigan Sugar at the age of 68.

Marilyn is survived by one son, Ivan (Pat) Hoist Jr., one daughter, Patricia (Bob) Linton; six grandchildren, Anthony (Rebecca) King, Jennifer (Sean) Hall, Ivan Hoist III, Shannon Watson, Christina (Jeremy) Wise and Michael (Samantha) Linton; nine great grandchildren, Nicholas Hoist, Devin Hoist Facundo, Patrick Watson, Emily Hall, Elyssa Hall, Londynn Hoist Facundo, Cameron Wise, Benjamin Linton and Matthew Linton. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Ivan Hoist Sr.; daughter, JoAnn King; three brothers, Vern, Phillip and Gerald Meir and one sister, Carol Schnell.

Funeral and Committal services will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 13, 2026 at Faith Lutheran Church. Officiating will be Pastor James Chinery with private interment following at Midland Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Thursday, February 12, 2026 at the Gephart Funeral Home from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. and on Friday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
