Marion H. DeCatur

Marion DeCatur passed away on Thursday, August 12, 2021 at McLaren Bay Region Hospital at the age of 86. The daughter of the late John and Pauline (Schmidt) Day. Marion was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Bay City, and a former member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Saginaw.
Marion is survived by her three children, Laura Maslowski, John (Ronda) Brandt and Roger (Cynthia) Brandt; five grandchildren; one great granddaughter; one sister, Norma Pfund and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, William H. DeCatur, Jr. and her sister, Joyce Reichard.
As a baptized and redeemed child of God, Marion's faith in Christ brought her earthly and eternal comfort knowing that in Christ's death and resurrection she now wears the robe of eternal righteousness.
Private inurnment will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery at a later date. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to Lutheran Heritage Foundation, Macomb, Michigan.
