Martin W. Wegener "Marty"

Marty passed away unexpectedly at his home in Saginaw on Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at the age of 65. He was born on August 4, 1959 to Lynwood and Jeanette (Amman) Wegener in Bay City, Michigan. He was proud to be a union man and worked for The Coca-Cola Company for 35 years. He made Diecast model trucks and was very good at it. Marty enjoyed golfing, playing poker, watching NASCAR and going hunting and fishing in his younger years. After he retired, he devoted his time to his son and they developed a bond that was inseparable.

Marty is survived by his son, Joshua Wegener (Teagan Waite); parents, Lyn and Jan Wegener; siblings, Rachelle Nozero, Michael (Patty) Wegener and Chris (Diane) Wegener; aunt, Valerie Korman; Friend of the family, Nate Krueger; mother of his child, Janice Whyte and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Larry Nozero and several aunts, uncles and friends.

A memorial service for Marty will be held on Friday, July 18, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Gephart Funeral Home, officiated by Pastor Dennis Matyas. Visitation will be held on Friday at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made in Marty’s name to the NACoA, National Association for Children of Addiction.
