Ginny passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 9, 2015 at her residence. Age 85. The daughter of the late Joseph and Leila Luepnitz on April 9, 1930 in Pomona, CA. While residing in Bay City she was a member of the former Our Lady of the Visitation Catholic Church and currently attending St. Pius X Catholic Church in Hale. She worked at various places over the years, the Kitchen of Mercy Hospital, Empire Bar, Knepp's, Bay City Police Dept., The Shriner's, Dobson's and tele-marketing for Herter Music. Ginny was the pas president of the American Legion Post#18 Womens Auxiliary. In her spare time she enjoyed doing crafts, working in her flower gardens, traveling, feeding and watching the humming birds and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Left behind to cherish her memories are one daughter and son-in-law, Kathy "Peewee" and Randall "Berni" Bernard; her grandchildren, Trish (Dave Walker) Bernard-Jamison, Randall (Ashley) Bernard II, Kyle Dolan and Krista (Paul) Heppner, her great grandchildren, Caylin, Austyn, Anthony, Keegan, Brooks, Chase, Brooklyn, Blake and Bentlee; her great great grandchildren, Madison and Mason; her brother; Larry Kaminsky; her sister, Avis Peppel and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Raymond Leonard; her daughter, Karen Leonard; her stepmother, Augusta Luepnitz, her sister, Anna Louise Luepnitz and one brother, James Luepnitz. At the request of Ginny cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will take place Saturday, October 24, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Mary Ann Helie. The family will be present at the funeral home on Saturday to receive family and friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
