Mary Carol Smith

Mary passed away Friday, December 16, 2022 at her residence with her family by her side at the age of 78 years. She was born in Screven, Georgia on February 27, 1944 to the late EW and Wilma (Leget) Roberson. On June 30, 1963 she married Raymond R. Smith and they were married for 59 years. Mary loved gardening, working in her flower beds, hunting, fishing and making quilts for her grandkids. She also loved her dogs and holding and playing with her great grand babies.
Mary is survived by her husband, Raymond R. Smith; children, Raymond R. Jr. (Doreen) Smith, Toni Smith and Michael R. (Stacey) Smith; grandchildren, Shannon (Kyle) Rudy, Eric Smith, Dustin Smith, Felicia (Delano) Cook, Dennis (Kayla) LaPan Jr., Kayla Smith, Michael Smith II, Morgan Smith and Nolan Smith; great grandchildren, Blakely Smith, Riley LaPan, Brookelyn LaPan, Aleah LaPan and Colton LaPan; brothers, George Roberson, Isham (Sharon) Roberson, Steve Roberson, Michael (Kee) Roberson, ; sister-in-law, Sherry Roberson; Chuck Walthers, Diane (Tom) West, Linda Hanlin and Roger (Sue) Smith. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her mother and father-in-law, Raymond and Lollie Smith; brothers, Harold (Frog) Roberson and Jerry Roberson; sisters-in-law, Mary Jo Walthers and Kathy Clancey and her dog, Sassy.
