Mary J. White (Birch)

Mary passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Thursday, August 22, 2024 at McLaren Bay Region at the age of 72. She was born on January 9, 1952 to the late Harold and Romaine (Slezak) Birch in Bay City, Michigan. She was a member of St. Jude Thaddeus Parish in Essexville and volunteered at the Church as well. She was a member of T.O.P.S. club, also known as the Golden Girls. The Trivia team and her Cardiac Rehab Group were also a big part of her life. Mary spent her life caring for others from being a childcare provider to being a personal care attendant. She had a big sense of humor and was always making others laugh. She was so giving and opened her heart and home to any and everyone.

Mary is survived by her son, Gary (Jessica) White; daughter, Marilee White and her partner, Joel Redlawsk; grandson, Carson White; honorary grandchildren, Alaina, Thomas and Isaac; brothers, Paul (Susan) Birch, Gary (Phyllis) Birch and Ken (Joy) Birch; sister-in-law’s, Brenda Commire and Connie Birch; brother-in-law, Dennis (Judy Cray) White and many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gary White and brother, Tom Birch,

Funeral service for Mary will be taking place on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Jude Thaddeus Parish in Essexville. The family will be present to receive visitors at the Gephart Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday at the Church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. A Vigil Service for Mary will take place on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wishes of the Family.
