Our loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister passed away Thursday evening at SKLD West Bloomfield, at the age of 88.  The daughter of the late Harry and Theresa (Federighe) Thomson was born September 10, 1932 in Newberry, Michigan. She was a long time member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and now a member of St. Catherine of Siena Parish. She retired after many years of service from Bay Regional Medical Center as a registered nurse. She enjoyed reading, knitting and doing community service.
Left behind to cherish her memory are six children, Ann (Connie) Roberts, Thomas Wollney, Donald Wollney, David (Renee Gardner) Wollney, Nora (Robert) Brooks and Mark Wollney; her grandchildren, Robert, Lauren (James), Jay (Maddie), Katie, Delane, Tara, Adriana, Siera, Tyler, Matt and Alexis; seven great grandchildren; her sister, Barbara (Joe) Gemignani and sister-in-law, Donna Thompson. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Wollney; son, Allen Wollney; sister, Jean Wealton, two brothers, Paul Thomson and Jack (Theresa) Thomson.
The Funeral Mass and Rite of Committal will be celebrated on Thursday, November 19, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Catherine of Siena Parish. The celebrant will be Rev. Fr. James Bessert with private interment in Calvary Cemetery in Kawkawlin, MI. The family will be present at the church on Thursday to receive family and friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. We will be following the covid-19 guidelines at the church with social distancing and the wearing of masks.
