Melvin E. Krauss

Melvin passed away Monday, January 23, 2023 at Covenant Hospital with his family by his side at the age of 82. He was born in Saginaw, Michigan on August 9, 1940 to the late Martin and Eleanor (Kuch) Krauss. Melvin was a lifetime devoted member of St. John Amelith Church. He enjoyed farming, gardening and spending time with his family.
Melvin is survived by his three children, Dale Krauss, Scott Krauss and Susan (Paul) Pollard; five grandchildren, Anissa, Kayla, Rachel, Austin and Jordan; three great grandchildren, Ralito, Artimus, Harper and brother and sister-in-law, James and Diana Krauss. In addition to his parents, Melvin is preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Ann (Baker) Krauss; daughter, Debbi Marie Krauss.
Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 26, 2023 at St. John Amelith Church. Officiating will be Pastor David Reed with burial to follow at St. John Amelith Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, January 25, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Gephart Funeral Home and on Thursday, January 26, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be considered to the American Cancer Society.
