Michael John Bourcier Sr. "Mike"

On January 22, 2023 Michael J. Bourcier Sr. loving husband, father, papa and brother passed away with his family by his side. He enjoyed coaching softball and volleyball, woodworking, playing Euchre but most of all he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He will be remembered for his practical jokes, sense of humor, but most of all his kind generous heart. And one last thing, no matter where he traveled there was always someone that knew him, even in Tennessee.
Michael is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Sheryl. Their children, Michael (Kathy) Bourcier Jr., Karen (Curt) Zirwes and Dawn (James) Vaillancourt; grandchildren, Joshua Bourcier, Ali (Zachary) Bivins, Shain (April) Vaillancourt, Kimberly (Mathew) Vaillancourt, Matthew (Samantha) Bourcier, Emily (Brandon) Richards, Kaylee (Taylor) McKenney and Paige (fiancé, Austin) Vaillancourt; great grandchildren, Brycen, Brody, Brayden, Killian, Everly, River and Oaklyn; one great granddaughter due in March and one in June as well; brother, Ernest (Midge) Bourcier; sister, Isabell Flood; brother and sister-in-law's, Jim (Darlene) Averill, Ric (Janet) Averill, Diane Walton, Bonnie Wilbanks, LouAnn Averill, Debbie Duncan and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his mother-in-law and father-in-law; brother, Gary Bourcier; sister-in-law, Joan Bourcier and brother-in-law's, James Flood and Tommy Walton.
The best phrase to describe Michael is "To know him is to love him". He will be greatly missed by his loving family and always remembered in their hearts.
Funeral service will take place on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Gephart Funeral Home with committal service to follow at St. Anne Catholic Cemetery in Linwood. Officiating will be Jane Grzegorczyk. The family will be present to receive visitors at the funeral home on Friday, January 27, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wishes of the Family.
