Michael L. Caufield

Mr. Caufield, of Bay City, passed away Monday evening June 7, 2010 at Bay Shores Nursing Center following a courageous battle with cancer, age 65. The son of the late Leo W. & Carol G. (Zube) Caufield, he was born November 2, 1944 in Bay City. Michael retired in 2006 from Bangor Twp. Schools where he was a custodian at Bangor Central for 38 years. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion. Michael was an avid pistol shooter and ham radio operator. Mr. Caufield is survived by his wife of 41 years, the former Patricia A. Massicotte; their son, Kevin (Alison) Caufield of Peru, IL; a brother, James (Connie) Caufield of Ft. Mill, SC; and his longtime close friends, the Lapouttre Family. The funeral service will take place at 11:00am on Friday June 11, 2010 at the Gephart Funeral Home. Officiating will be Rev. Jonathan Boyer. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 5:00 to 8:00pm and on Friday from 10:00am until time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
