Michael J. Cormier

Michael Jerome Cormier, 79 passed away peacefully at Maple Woods Manor in Clio, Michigan with his family at his side, after a long battle with LewyBody Dementia on March 23, 2021. He was born January 30, 1942 in Bay City, Michigan. Michael's entrepreneurial endeavors began in the family credit bureau business which later progressed into owning Bayview Mortgage Company until retirement. Those who knew and loved Michael can recall special memories with him playing golf, boating on the Great Lakes or game hunting in beautiful locations of Canada, Michigan, Alaska and Montana. "Papa" loved spending time with his grandchildren at the Cabin competing in badminton, horseshoes, and many other games and activities.
Michael is survived by his wife, Linda, of 31 years.  He also leaves behind his 4 children and spouses; Michael (Ann) Cormier, Charles (Kristi) Cormier, Heather (Michael) Connolly, Megan (Christopher) Schepers, 2 step children: Lisa (Jerry) Williams and John (Heather) Schury. "Papa" is survived by his 11 beloved grandchildren. Michael is also survived by his siblings; Curtis Cormier and Kathy Tucci, along with several nieces and nephews that were near and dear to his heart.
Cremation has taken place and a "celebration of life" with family and close friends will be planned at a later date.
