On Thursday, March 18, 2021 our loving, husband, father and papa passed away at McLaren Bay Region at the age of 64 years. He was born in Bay City to the late Jay and Mary Ann (Vennix) Hartley. On May 31, 1985 he married the former Patricia Anne McCann, the love of his life, whom he adored and cherished, they spent 35 years together. Mike worked for Wade Trim Engineering for many years and was a project manager. As a licensed contractor he loved to build and was a master craftsman working with wood. He loved golfing with his prayer posse and traveling with his wife. Most of all he loved spending time with his family.
Mike is survived by his wife, Patricia; sons, Bob (Maria) Roberts, Kevin Roberts, Brandon (Jill) Roberts and Ryan (Amanda) Hartley; grandchildren, Nick, Tristen, Darrien, Kevin Jr., Kyle (Cassie), Alyssia, Tyler, Alisyn, Seth, Kason and Kroy; great grandchildren, Harper and Hollie; brothers and sisters, Linda (David) Mance, Carol (Dave) Jankowski, JB Hartley, James (Tammy) Hartley, Gene Hartley, Mary Kay (Howard) Eagle, Pat Hartley and Carrie Korte; brother-in-law, James McCann; sisters-in-law, Janet Prater and Hazel McCann; many nieces and nephews; special friends whom Mike cherished, (prayer posse) Fritz, John Allen, John Martin and JW. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sisters-in-law, Dawn Hartley and Phyllis McCann; brother-in-law, Gerald McCann and mother-in-law, Elizabeth McCann.
Friends and family can visit at the funeral home on Sunday, March 21, 2021 from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. We are currently still under the governor's executive order of social distancing and limited to 25 visitors in the chapel at one time. You may experience a wait while paying your respects, face coverings must be worn. Private interment will take place in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the wishes of the family.
