Michael "Mike" A. Brunette

Michael “Mike” Brunette, age 79, passed away peacefully at Niche Aging Center, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on February 10, 1947, in Bay City, Michigan, to the late Chester and Eileen (Wood) Brunette.

Mike proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was actively involved in supporting charitable causes, including fundraising efforts for Camp Fish Tales, where he enjoyed visiting with the campers each week, as well as Toni and Trish House. He found great joy in fishing and riding motorcycles, but above all, he cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Glenda (Moser) Brunette; his son, Daryl (Christine) Brunette; his grandchildren, Branden (Madison) Zarazua, Alexycya (Joshua) Boucher, Amera (Jordan) Ancel, and Ziah Brunette; his great-grandchildren, Davina Boucher, Jasper Boucher, Sutton Ancel, and Leighton Ancel; and his siblings, Jeanie (Bob) Quinn, Jere (Joyce) Brunette, Judy Dacey, Tom (Denise) Brunette, and Jim (Lori) Brunette. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, as well as special lifelong friends, Bob “Bubba” Phillip and Deb.

In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Chartier, and his special lifelong friend, Thomas Gravlin.

In accordance with Mike’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at Gephart Funeral Home. Family and friends are invited to visit on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
