Michael “Mike” Charles Talbert passed away quietly on Thursday, June 13, 2024, with his beloved wife, Carol (Howden) at his side.
Mike married the love of his life on September 3, 1966. He was a great man but an even greater husband, father and grandfather. He worked tirelessly to make sure his household was taken care of, going above and beyond to guarantee everyone’s comfort and happiness.
Mike was born on December 18, 1944, in Bay City, Michigan to the late Delia (Fortin) and Vincent Talbert. He graduated from Visitation High School and went on to serve his country in the United States Air Force. He also served his community while working as an officer for the Midland (MI) Police Department. He began his career at Dow Corning in 1974 as a security guard while continuing his higher education at Saginaw Valley College. He quickly moved up in to sales, achieving many awards and accomplishments. He eventually retired from Dow Corning as a Senior Account Manager in February 2001.
Mike is survived by his wife, Carol; daughters, Beth Ann Talbert and Cynthia (Michael) Worthy; grandchildren, Stephen Kaminski and Zoe Worthy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Fred King; sisters, Patricia Schmidt and Linda LaVigne and granddaughter, Mia Worthy.
At Mike’s request, there will be no memorial service.
