Mignon "Mimi" Remington

Mimi passed away on Monday, July 24, 2023 at her home at the age of 78. The daughter of the late Herman and Nina (Gunn) Bartling was born August 15, 1944 in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Mimi enjoyed living on Mackinaw Island growing up, golfing, riding her bike, reading, volunteering at the State Theater and spending time with her grandchildren.

Mimi is survived by her two sons, John (Jacklyne) Remington and Stephen (Melody) Remington; three grandchildren, Nichole Huber, Tyler Remington and Stella Remington. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Ronald William Remington Jr.

At the request of Mimi, cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place on Thursday, August 17, 2023 from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. Private inurnment will take place at a later date in Elm Lawn Cemetery. Memorial cards for the wishes of the family will be available at the funeral home.
