Gromaski, Monica Marie of Essexville, Michigan passed away Sunday afternoon November 6, 2011 surrounded by her family.The daughter of the late Adam and Irene (Kielpinski) Tomczak was born August 11, 1937 in Bay City and has resided here all of her life. On June 30 1956 she married John Gromaski Jr. and he preceded her in death on March 21, 1997. Mrs. Gromaski is survived by five children and their spouses; Wendy and Mike MacPhee, Sharon Masterson, Linda and Robert Niedzinski, Christine and Robert Witucki and John J. ( Heather Beebe) Gromaski, six grandchildren; Jamie, Christopher, Stacey, Chelsea, Patrick and Christina, two great grandchildren; Brody and Colton, two brothers and two sisters; Dan and JoAnn Tomczak, Bernadine Urbaniak, Patricia Urbaniak and Larry and Colleen Tomczak, her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; William and Donna Gromaski, Daniel and Barbara Gromaski, Frances Lutz and Edward Gromaski, one aunt Marie Tomczak, one uncle Leo Tomczak and many nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends. She was a member of Our Lady of the Visitation Catholic Church for forty nine years. Monica proudly volunteered her service's for the church and was currently President of the Little Flower Alter Society. She was an active member of the church participating on the Decorating Cleaning Committee, the Bread (Host) Baking Committee, Chairperson for the Funeral Luncheons , she was a member of The League of Catholic Women and Men, Community Volunteer for Food for Faith, the Daughters of Isabella, the Rad Hat Society and the F.O.E.Ladies Auxiliary Aries 1010. In 1977 Monica and John began catering for weddings, parties and owned and operated J & M Catering Service. The Funeral Liturgy and Rite of Committal Service will take place Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at our Lady of the Visitation Catholic Church. Concelebrating will be Rev. Fr. George J. Serour and Rev. Fr. Gerald E. Balwinski with private interment in St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Tuesday from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. Members of the F.O.E. Ladies Auxiliary will conduct a memorial service at 6:45p.m. followed by the vigil for the deceased will take place Tuesday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Gromaski will be taken to the church on Wednesday to lie in state from 9:00 a.m. and until the time of services.
