Nancy Ellen Meier-Bickham-Nitschke began her new journey on July 29th, 2021, and her passing will leave many with heavy hearts, but everlasting memories too. Nancy was born December 4th, 1957 in Bay City, MI to the late Earl (Mike) and Sally (Goetz) Meier, and resided in Bay County her whole life. She deemed herself the Halloween Queen, had an infectious sense of humor, never forgot anyone's birthday, always had a Diet Coke in hand, was known for her delicious baking, and warm, welcoming personality.
Nancy was also known for being a loving wife to her husband Michael Bickham for 39 years, after they met at the Auburn Cornfest beer tent in July of 1981, and were married May 1st, 1982. She was also a wonderful mother to her only child, Clark, and did many things to express how deeply she loved them both. She also loved her pets she had throughout her entire life, especially her babies, Oxbow Joe and Keo Murphy. She will join her late mother Sally and father Earl; sister Marsha and brother George, in her passing; father-in-law and mother-in-law, James and Florence (Fitzek) Bickham. She leaves behind her siblings; Midge, Mary, Michael, Dawn, and Tommy.
Funeral Service will be at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 5, 2021 at Gephart Funeral Home (201 W. Midland St, Bay City, MI 48706). Officiating will be Rev. Kevin C. Jones with Interment taking place at Heavenly Rest Cemetery (Old Kawkawlin Rd. and Lauria Rd. Kawkawlin, MI 48631). Friends may visit at the Gephart Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
