Nancy Josephine Christie

Nancy passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her friends and family on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at the age of 77. She was born on April 8, 1946 to the late James and Violet (Nehring) Masterson in Hibbing, Minnesota. She married Charles Christie and they spent over 50 years together before his passing on June 15, 2020 and they are now reunited with one another. She enjoyed bowling, crocheting, photoshopping, computer games and going to the casino.
Nancy is survived by her children, James Christie and David (Amanda) Christie; five granddaughters, Whitney, Alexis, Emily, Dannika and Davylynn; grandson, Michael (Shyanne); three great grandsons, Phoenix, Forest and Loki; sister, Kathleen (Rueben) Rodenborg of Finlayson, MN; brother, James (Cheryl) Masterson of Hermantown, MN; sister-in-law, Janet (Bill) O’Neil of Jefferson City, MO; brother-in-law, Rick (Peggy) Christie; special family members, Linda (Leonard) Christie; many nieces, nephews and cousins and very special friends and caretakers, Thad (Shannon) Gatza and Maeve Banaszek. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles G. Christie.
The family of Nancy would like to extend a very special thank you to the McLaren Hospice Team for all their support.
Funeral Liturgy will take place on Saturday, August 5 at 11:00 a.m. at the Gephart Funeral Home with interment to follow at St. Patrick Cemetery. The family will be present to receive visitors on Friday, August 4, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Gephart Funeral Home and on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. A Rosary for Nancy will take place on Friday, August 4, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
