It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Nancy (Guettler) Klemm on Sunday evening May 24, 2026 at the Toni and Trish House, Auburn. She was a woman of strength, love, and unwavering dedication to her family. Nancy will be deeply missed by those fortunate enough to have known her. An accomplished scholar, Nancy graduated from Bay City Western High School in 1975, going on to earn an Associate degree from Delta College - Main Campus, University Center, MI in 2010. She worked as an Administrative Assistant at many local businesses over 40 years, finally retiring in 2022. She had a fondness for books, particularly those depicting country living and Amish tales, and took pleasure in TV shows like Young and the Restless, Survivor, Wheel of Fortune, and Jeopardy.
A nature lover, her favorite recreational activities included camping and spending time with her granddaughters. She also had a crafty side, enjoying shopping at Walmart, Joanne’s, and Hobby Lobby and had a passion for sewing. Cooking and baking were her forté and family members fondly recall the delightful meals she crafted. Her favorite vacation spots included camping trips and unforgettable visits to Disney World.
A woman of empathy, Nancy volunteered her time for United Way and Underground Railroad, always ready to lend a helping hand. Friends and family will remember her best as a caring, loving, loyal, strong-willed, and hardworking individual. Her life lessons on how to love unselfishly will stay with them forever.
Nancy's proudest achievements were her academic accomplishments, but nothing brought her more joy than raising her children and grandchildren. She leaves behind a legacy of an extremely loving and close family; a testament to her life, well-lived. She will be dearly missed.
Nancy is survived by her loving husband, George Klemm whom she married March 4th, 1978; cherished daughter Melissa Klemm; her devoted sons, Matthew (Tiffany) Klemm, Jason Klemm; beloved granddaughters, Emily Anderson and Amelia Klemm; caring brothers, Mike (Robyn) Guettler and Mark Guettler; loving sister, Barb (Scott) Rahn and sister-in-laws, Connie (Royce) Brister, Deborah (Tim) Osgerby, and Sharyn Klemm. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews Michelle (Guy) Hutchinson, Chris Rondo, Eric Rondo, Zachary (Brianne) Fischer, Shannon Brister, Jacob (Heather) Fischer, Andrew (Hannah) Rahn, Karly Fischer, Heather (Cody) Dignan, Megan (Gavin) Balog, Mark Jr Guettler, Noah Guettler and many grand nieces and nephews, also many cousins that will all truly miss her.
She is predeceased by her parents, Donald and Lillian Guettler, and by her in-laws, George and Doris Klemm.
Per Nancy’s wishes cremation will take place. A Celebration of Life gathering will take place at a later date to be determined. Those desiring an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a memorial contribution to Toni & Trish House. The family would like to give a special thank you to Toni & Trish House, A&D Hospice, and Covenant Healthcare for the compassionate care they gave Nancy.
