Nicole passed away Monday, May 21, 2018 at Mid-Michigan Medical Center Midland at the age of 39 years. Nicole was born in Bay City to Michael Dietze and Mary Spliedt on January 27, 1979. She was a 1998 graduate of All Saints High School and later attended Delta College. Nicole was a member of Corpus Christi Parish and worker for both McLaren Bay Region and Mid-Michigan Medical Center Midland as an X Ray Technician and in the heart cath lab. Nicole had a passion for fashion and art and was a member of the Detroit Institute of Arts. In her spare time she enjoyed volunteering throughout the community, gardening, music, being in nature and traveling to Chicago. Nicole was known to everyone as a very compassionate person and a caring friend.
Nicole is survived by her son, Anthony; parents, Mary Spliedt and Michael Dietze; sister, Danielle Dietze; brother, Alexander Colopy; grandmother, Myrna Spliedt; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Nicole was preceded in death by her grandfathers, James Spliedt and Wally Dietze; grandmother, Patricia Dietze; and Mark Brennan.
A Vigil for the deceased will take place at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Robert J. Kelm. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Per Nicole's wishes, cremation will take place following the visitation, a Mass will be held at a later date at Corpus Christi Parish with private inurnment in St. Patrick's Cemetery. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to make a memorial contribution to the wishes of the family for her son Anthony's college fund. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the doctors that cared for Nicole, her uncle and aunt Zane and Sherry and Thomas and Toni Jessup.
