Norma J. Klender, passed away on September 24, 2025, at Bayfield Assisted Living. She was born on March 31, 1933, in Bay City, Michigan, and she spent her life enriching the lives of those around her through her dedication to education, passion for gardening, and vibrant family life.

Norma graduated from T.L. Handy High School and subsequently devoted her career to serving as a Reading Aid in the Bay City Schools until her retirement in 1992. Her commitment to nurturing the minds of young learners left a lasting impact on many students and their families.

A woman of many talents, Norma was known for her green thumb and the breathtaking garden that she tended with love and care. She took great joy in gardening, which was only one of her many creative outlets. Norma also enjoyed painting, drawing, reading, and traveling, above all, she cherished time spent with her family, creating memories that will be treasured by her loved ones forever.

Norma is survived by her three sons, Jeffry (Jane) Klender, Mark (Shawn) Klender, and Dave Klender; her sister, Shirley Roesler; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren, all of whom will carry her legacy forward. She was preceded in death by her parents, Erwin and Mary Weaver; her husband, Warren Klender; and her brother, Jack Weaver.

At the request of Norma, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be considered to the Bay County Humane Society.
