Norman H. Jeske Jr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and cherished member of his community, passed away peacefully on April 2, 2026, at McLaren Bay Region, with his family by his side. Born on May 6, 1950, Norman lived a life full of love, adventure, and service.
A proud veteran, Norman served honorably in the United States Army, a testament to his dedication and commitment to his country. Beyond his military service, Norman was a man who truly embraced the outdoors. He found joy in riding motorcycles, camping under open skies, shooting guns, and hunting—activities that reflected his adventurous spirit and strong connection to nature. Yet above all, Norman’s greatest happiness came from spending time with his family, the cornerstone of his life and heart.
Norman’s life was enriched by his loving family, who carry forward his legacy of warmth and kindness. He is lovingly remembered by his wife of 22 years, Thelma Jeske; his three devoted children, Jennifer (Rob) Crawford, Tracey (Kerry) Scaife, and Melissa (Matt) McKellip; along with thirteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren whose lives he deeply touched. Norman also leaves behind cherished siblings Ernest Jeske, Katherine Sample, and Kim Huebner; brothers-in-law Harry Erdman and Dennis (Debbie) Erdman; and a wide circle of nieces, nephews, and cousins who will dearly miss him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Elizabeth Jeske, who shaped his early years with love; his first wife, Virginia Ann Jeske; and his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Howard and Madeline Erdman.
