Norman J. Maurer

Mr. Maurer passed away on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at Symphony Tri-Cities at the age of 82. The son of the late Norman and Martha (Lang) Maurer was born July 18, 1939 in Bay City, Michigan. Norman was a member of St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church and was retired from General Motors. He also enjoyed mushroom hunting and watching his grandchildren play sports.
Norman is survived by his wife of 60 years, Marlene Maurer; one son, Brent (Marciel) Maurer; one daughter, Katrina (Matt) Salgat; five grandchildren, Jacob and Olivia Maurer and Amanda, Benjamin and William Salgat; sister-in-law, Pamela Maurer and two nieces, Brooke Burgraff and Blair Grew. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his brother, James Maurer.
Funeral and Committal services will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 8, 2021 at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church. Officiating will be Pastor Jacob Reich with private interment following in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will take place at the church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Memorials for St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church will be available.
