Pamela Sue Reid

Pamela passed away peacefully with her family by her side after a brief illness on Friday, July 10, 2026 at McLaren Bay Region at the age of 75. She was born to the late Richard Schilling and Shirley (Rowlands) Schilling on June 21, 1951 in Massillon, Ohio. She graduated from Bridgeport High School in 1969. She went on to continue her education at Delta College and graduated in 1992 with an Associates in accounting. She was a proud breast cancer survivor. Pamela loved anything Hawaii, she like gardening, doing puzzles and playing card games, especially Euchre. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her two granddaughters. She also loved going on their family trips and going to airshows. Most of all she had a strong relationship with Jesus Christ, her Lord and Savior.

Pamela met the love of her life, William Reid, at an Intervarsity Christian Fellowship Christmas Party in December of 1970. They got married on June 23, 1973 and have spent 53 wonderful years together creating many memories. She loved going to their special spot, where they would have dinner and listen to the Tigers game together.

Pamela is survived by her husband, William Reid; children, Shirley Reid (Dennis Newell), David (Susan) Reid and Timothy (Sheila) Reid; granddaughters, Louise and Victoria Reid; siblings, Richard Schilling, Barbara Wing and Edward Schilling; close cousins, Lori (Tom) Miday, John Bartholomew and many other cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her father and mother-in-law, Jennings and Kathlyn Reid and brother-in-law, Dave Wing.

In honoring the wishes of Pamela, cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at Tim and Sheila Reid’s residence, if you don’t have their address and would like it, please call the funeral home. The family will be receiving visitors on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wishes of the Family.
