Patricia A. Behrmann

Patricia was called home to her Lord and Savior in the early morning hours of November 17, 2025 surrounded by her family following a brief illness at the age of 81 years. Patricia Ann Behrmann (Kotz) was born on a summer afternoon on the family farm in Pinconning, the second of five children to the late Albina (Greniuk) and Walter Kotz, Sr on July 31, 1944. She was born 2 months premature and was said to be so small she could fit in a cigar box. She started her life with a bit of a struggle but that just made her into the strong and spicy woman she would become.

Patricia graduated from Pinconning High School in 1962 and then went on to attend Northeastern School of Commerce in Bay City. This led to her career in the clerical field, which she truly enjoyed. Her first job was at the Dow Corning Corporation. She went on to work at Frankenmuth Mutual Insurance Company and for Corporate Service. She has told the tale that while working in her office at Dow Corning one day, a very handsome gentleman kept coming in to see if she needed anything cleaned or her basket emptied. This man was my father, Oscar Behrmann and he ended up being the love of her life. They married on July 24, 1965 at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church. Mom and dad recently celebrated their 60th anniversary surrounded by the family that they love and cherish.

Their marriage was blessed with a daughter, Tracey (Bob) Mowbray and then a son, Troy. Mom enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, Alexas (Matt) Wilson, Cameron Behrmann, Sarah Mowbray and Nathan (Kate) Mowbray. Her life was further brightened by her great grandchildren, Mason, Andee and Avery Wilson. There was not much more that made her happier than when she was surrounded by her family.

Patricia enjoyed spending time at the casino and also loved a good game show on television. In their earlier years, mom and dad enjoyed spending time on their boat enjoying a sunny afternoon or fishing for perch

and walleye. They also enjoyed going to Mullett Lake in the summer and spending time in Jamaica in the winter. Patricia enjoyed nothing more than beating her grandchildren at card games.

Patricia will also be remembered by her brothers and sisters. Walter (Louise) Kotz, Dan (Jan) Kotz and Jan (Tom) Bishop and sister-in-law Debbie Kotz; her in-laws William (Mary Jo) Behrmann and her sisters-in-law, Lynn Behrmann, Joan Behrmann and Pam Behrmann and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and her mother/father in-law Edwin and Lucy Behrmann, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Eugene Kotz and in laws, Edwin (Jean) Behrmann Jr., Robert (Marlene) Behrmann, Gerald Behrmann and Carl Behrmann; Nancy (Marvin) Appold, Sally Nagel and Ruth Ann (Russ) Lane.

At the request of Mrs. Behrmann cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will take place on Friday, November 21, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church. Officiating will be Rev. James Bare followed by a private interment at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may consider donations to St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church.

The family would like to extend our deepest gratitude to the exceptional nurses at McLaren Bay Region who provided compassionate and dedicated care during Patricia’s final days. We would especially like to thank Colleen and Anthony in the ICU and Chase in the Emergency Department. Their kindness, professionalism and unwavering support were a source of comfort to our family during this difficult time.
