Clements, Paul T. Bay City, Michigan Mr. Clements passed away unexpectedly Saturday evening February 26, 2011 at Bay Front Medical Center in St. Petersburg, Florida. Age 69 years. The son of the late Edward and Margaret (Cavanaugh) Clements was born February 7, 1942 in Bay City and has resided here all of his life and was a graduate of St. Mary's High School - class of 1960. Paul was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, life member of the I.B.E.W. Local 692, U.A.W. Local 699, retired from Delphi in 2005 and was a master electrician. Paul always loved a good joke and making others laugh. He was the kindest and most genuine person who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially at their cottage, "Surf-N-Suds." He is survived by his beloved wife of thirty-eight wonderful years whom he loved and adored, the former Sherry A. Mielock whom he married on August 18, 1972. He is also survived by two cherished children; Edward and Bridgette(Couture) Clements and their son; Jared "Buckshot"; and Jane and Matthew Klawon and their daughters; Maria and Lauren who adored their Papa with all of their little hearts; one brother and two sisters-in-law; William and Joan Clements and Betty Clements, one brother-in-law; James Carrier, his mother-in-law whom he adored dearly; Elaine (Hipke-Mielock) Dowling and when introducing her Paul would always refer to himself as her favorite son-in-law; many nieces, nephews, his beloved black lab, Maddy, and many many caring and supportive friends .... "You know who you are!" He was preceded in death by his parents; Edward and Margaret, one brother; Robert Clements and two sisters; Joyce Carrier and JoAnn Ferguson. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated Friday, March 4, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Celebrant will be Rev. Fr. James G. Heller with the Rite of Committal in St. Patrick's Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Thursday from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. The Vigil for the Deceased will take place Thursday evening at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Clements will be taken to the church Friday to lie in state from 9:00 a.m. and until the time of service. Memorial cards for Holy Trinity Catholic Church or the American Heart Association will be available at the funeral home.
