Paul Ray Fritz, Sr.

Mr. Fritz passed away April 27, 2010 at Bay Regional Medical Center. Age 76 years. The son of late John Thomas and Willie (Temperance) Fritz was born August 15, 1933 in Greenup, Kentucky. He retired as a truck driver from Bulk Transport after thirty years of service. He was the past president of Northwest Little League from 1972 to 1977, and avid hunter, fisherman and loved all sports. Mr. Fritz served in the U.S. Air Force. He is survived by his wife of fifty five years Marlene (Raymond) Fritz, five children; Jeanne (David) Russell of Bay City, Sandra Carlson (her special friend; Michele June) of Prescott, MI. and Frank Carlson of Lupton, MI., Paul (Colleen Kelly) Fritz Jr. of Kawkawlin, MI., Dennis Fritz and Renee Fritz all of Bay City, his grandchildren; Bryan (Beth) Russell, Dana Russell, Eric (Stephanie) Carlson, Bradley Fritz, Chelsea Fritz, Thomas Kelly and Brett Fritz, his great grandchildren; Linkin (Cadillac) Carlson, Ethan Carlson and Maleah Russell, two brothers; Thomas (Sarah) Fritz and Dennis Fritz, one sister; Charlene Harris. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his brothers and sisters; Hubert, Leonard, Curtis, Lorene and Ardie. The Funeral Liturgy and Rite of Committal will take place Friday, April 30, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Visitation Catholic Church. Officiating will be Rev. Fr. George J. Serour followed by Military Honor's conducted by the Bay County Veterans Council with private interment in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Thursday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. The Vigil for the Deceased will take place Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Fritz will be taken to the church on Friday to lie in state from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Memorial Card for Wishes of the Family will be available at the funeral home.
