Philip Zimmer

Philip D. Zimmer passed away December 31, 2021 at the age of 38. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He made a difference in the lives of most everyone he met. Phil was the "go to" person for his family and friends. He always showed up, had your back, gave to those in need. He fiercely defended and stood up for his loved ones and for what is right. He had a way of making everyone feel loved, heard and understood.
Phil worked as a sales manager at Arnold's Sales Janitorial. He wasn't a typical salesman he was reliable and well respected. He had a long list of loyal customers or "friends" as he liked to call them. He loved his work and the people he worked with.
Phil loved to give his best in everything he did. He was man of many talents and hobbies including air brushing, wood whittling, drawing, and playing drums or guitar. He enjoyed music, singing karaoke with friends, riding ATVs, and sharing a drink and stories with friends. Phil was also a talented cook and BBQ master! Cooking was a passion for Phil. He found as much joy in sharing his food and recipes with others as he did in making it.
Phil loved his God Jehovah from whom he gained his strength, faith, and hope for future by reading his word the Bible. He served as an Elder in the North Bay City Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. He loved his congregation; he laughed with us, cried with us, supported us, encouraged us, and most importantly, prayed with us and for us. Phil was a source of refreshment to everyone around him.
Phil is survived by the love of his life Cortney Zimmer, his wife of 12 years;  his parents Mike and Elvera Zimmer of West Branch, MI; his nephew Corban Burr of Alpena, MI; Phil and Cortney's spiritual children, daughter Bella and son Jayden; his extended family, and a worldwide brotherhood.  He was preceded in death by his dear brother, Aaron Zimmer in 2007.
A Memorial for Phil will be held on Saturday, January 15th at 3:00 pm on the Zoom Videoconferencing App. For any who would like to attend please email: ZimmerFamily2022@Gmail.com to receive more information.
Revelation 21:4 And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.
Acts 24:15 And I have hope toward God, which hope these men also look forward to, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.
