Phillip J. Auer

Phillip, age 71, was called to the Lord on Monday, November 9, 2020 with his family by his side while in the care of McLaren Bay Region due to a sudden illness.  A devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, Phillip was a life time resident of Bay City and enjoyed a 36 year career with General Motors.  Phillip was a classic car and motorcycle enthusiast and enjoyed traveling, mountain biking and spending time with his family.
Phillip is survived by his wife of 52 years, MaryJo, daughter Jennifer (Jay) Tinkler and grandson Conor; son Clinton (Janet) and granddaughter Julia and sister Debbie (Charlie) Roller, niece and nephew Kendra and Mason.  Phillip was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Evelyn Auer as well as his older sister Karen Slezack.
At the request of Phillip, a cremation and private memorial have taken place.  Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a donation to Phillip's lifetime church, Bethel Lutheran located in Bay City, Michigan.
