Phyllis Mae Choroba

Phyllis passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, June 20, 2022 in Bay City, Michigan, surrounded by her family. She was born to the late Ollie and Mary (Roy) Burcham on January 9, 1935 in Hendricks, West Virginia. She was retired from the Wayne Westland School District after working there for several years.
Phyllis is survived by her children, Beth Ann (Robert) Hall of Bay City, Michigan and Mary Samuels of Venice, Florida; grandchildren, Jessica (Mark) Cieszlak, Wayne Rajaniemi, Kalie Cavanaugh, Liam Cavanaugh and Carys Cavanaugh; brother, Michael Burcham of Huntington, West Virginia; sister, Margaret Mattson of Scottsdale, Arizona and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her very special friend and caregiver, Cheryl Anderson and her son, Tyler Anderson, who was like a grandson to her. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Anthony; son, Robert Samuels and great grandchildren, Allison and Violet Cieszlak.
In honoring the wishes of Phyllis, cremation has taken place. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Stroke Association.
