Phyllis L. Malke

Phyllis passed away on Sunday, May 2, 2021 at New Hope Bay at the age of 92 years. She was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan on February 22, 1929 to the late Clifford and Myrtle (Marston) Broxholm. Phyllis married Thomas Malke on March 31, 1989 in Bay City and he preceded her in death on January 27, 2019. She was a member of Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church and retired from the Frankenmuth school system in the finance department in 1989. Phyllis enjoyed traveling, playing Euchre and spending time with her family and friends.
Phyllis is survived by her children, Carol (Ed) Wirt of Midland, Patricia (Jim) Rathje of New Ulm, Minnesota, Cathy (David) Bekemeier of Frankenmuth and Kenneth Mason of Frederick, Maryland; step daughters, Mary Jo (Ralph) Schmidt of Bay City and Marcie (Gib) Sturm of Bay City; nineteen grandchildren and twenty-six great grandchildren.  In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Wallace Broxholm
