Rachelle M. Hahn, a remarkable soul whose kindness and warmth touched the lives of many, departed this world on June 28, 2025, at Bay Shores Nursing Center, with her loved ones by her side. She was born in Bay City, Michigan, on May 27, 1949, and spent her life spreading joy and compassion to those around her.
For over twenty-five years, Rachelle proudly served as an associate at Walmart, where her friendly demeanor and hardworking nature made her a beloved figure among colleagues and customers alike. Beyond her professional achievements, she was devoted to her family and her Christian faith, embodying a spirit of generosity that welcomed all into her heart.
Rachelle was a vibrant presence in the lives of her family, which included her husband of 54 years, Jay Hahn. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with laughter and love. Rachelle was the proud mother of three children: Andrew Hahn, Jason Hahn, and Amanda Hahn. Her legacy continues through her eight grandchildren, seven girls and one boy, and four great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her immeasurable joy.
Family gatherings and cherished moments spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who lovingly knew her as “MiMi” were among her greatest delights. Rachelle's creativity shone brightly in her many hobbies. She enjoyed crafting, decorating, painting, and planning events that unified her family. Her love for camping added to the tapestry of her life, creating countless memories under the stars.
In addition to her immediate family, Rachelle is survived by her brother, Clarence (Gail) Reinke Jr.; her sisters, Renee Reinke and Pam Northrup; and numerous beloved brother-in-law’s, sister-in-law’s, nieces, nephews, and friends who will hold her memory dear.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence Reinke Sr. and Edith (Krauss) Reinke; her mother and father-in-law, Hulda "Babe" Hahn and George Hahn; and her brother-in-law, Jeff Hahn, who remains an enduring presence in the hearts of those who loved them.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Bay Shores Nursing Care Center and to the staff at Advisacare hospice for the outstanding care they provided Rachelle.
