November 23, 1950 - February 7, 2022

If he were here, he would find a funny way to tell you he died. Unfortunately, the task falls to us and we're heartbroken. Randy decided that he really enjoyed his dirt nap the other day so he made it permanent on Monday February 7th. He was surrounded by his children and grandchildren as well as video chats and messages of love from family and friends. He is survived by his siblings Lonny Kipfmiller (Debbie) and Kathy Kipfmiller and his children Heather Kipfmiller, Ashley Kipfmiller, Misty Rechsteiner, Logan Potter-Valencia, Austin Kipfmiller-Valencia and his surprise daughter Sara Hane (Paul). He is also survived by his grandchildren Stephen McPherson, Jonathan McPherson, Trinity Kipfmiller, Jade Lazzaro, Amber Faust, and Breanna Faust and his great-grandchildren Kinsley McPherson and Grayson Lazzaro-Torres. Randy's parents, Michael and Marguerite Kipfmiller and his brother and sister-in-law Terry and Charlene Kipfmiller are now welcoming him home.  He had more friends than could possibly be mentioned here and they remember him fondly as a man who not only shared in their joyous moments but also held their hand through the dark ones. We are grateful that many of them are holding our hands now. Randy was a collector of many things and enjoyed flea markets and second hand stores. He always had a new treasure to show off, be it an antique tea set that he "only paid $1 for!!" or a digital camera that he never quite figured out. Randy was always creating something be it practical (by the way does anyone need a 6 foot tall tv antenna made of metal pipes, coat hangers, and aluminum foil) or beautiful works of art including drawings, paintings, woodworking projects, and beaded jewelry. Randy was a kind and gentle man and became the first conscientious objector in the Tri-Cities as well as a temporary resident of Canada in 1970. (Nobody tell Canada though, ok? Be cool.) He spent several years volunteering as a crisis counselor at The Other Room. Randy was warm and caring. I don't know how we're going to live in this world without him but as he would say "it is what it is".
