Raymond F. Bedell

Mr. Bedell passed away Tuesday morning, September 6, 2016 at Bay Medical Care Facility at the age of 93 years. The son of the late Henry and Elizabeth (Manyon) Bedell was born July 20, 1923 in Bay City, MI. He was a member of Our Lady of Peace Parish-St. Mary's Church. Mr. Bedell retired from Dow Chemical Co. in Midland. He was an avid golfer. Left behind to cherish his memory are his two children, Michael Bedell of Bay City, MI and Sandra Degg of Sarasota, FL; three grandchildren, Lindsay Degg, Adam Bedell and Melissa Bedell; one great granddaughter, Kristlyn Degg-Ferran. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Marie Bedell; one son, Robert M. Bedell; one grandson Jason Degg; one granddaughter, Kristy N. Degg; his brothers, Lawrence, Fred, Thomas and Walter Bedell; his sisters, Irene Reed and Alreda Whitaker; his step-brother, Lindsay Weinhoff; his step sister, Margaret Weinhoff. At the request of Mr. Bedell cremation has taken place. A Memorial Liturgy and Rite of Committal will be celebrated Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Peace Parish-St. Mary's Church. The celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Patrick M. Jankowiak with private inurnment in St. Patrick's Cemetery. The family will be present at the church on Wednesday to receive family and friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of mass.
